The SocialEase App
SocialEase is an iOS app that helps you create social stories - short, visual, step-by-step narratives that make new places, routines and situations easier to understand for the people you support.
What you can do
- Create a profile for each person you support, with a name and photo
- Build stories page by page, combining text, emoji, background colours and photos from your camera or photo library
- Record short audio narrations for any page, in a familiar voice
- Export finished stories as PDFs to print or share
- Turn on iCloud to keep everything synced automatically across your Apple devices
How it works
- Create a profile - set up a profile for the person the story is for.
- Add pages - write out the steps, choose emoji and colours, and attach photos to each page.
- Record narration - add a voice recording so the story can be read aloud, in a familiar voice, whenever it's needed.
- Read, export or revisit - read together in the app, export as a PDF, or come back and edit any time.
Getting started
SocialEase is available on the App Store with a 7-day free trial, followed by an auto-renewable monthly or yearly subscription. All purchases and billing are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store - see our Privacy Policy for details.
Requirements
- Requires an iPhone running a recent version of iOS
- An iCloud account is optional, and only needed if you want your stories to sync across devices
- Camera, photo library and microphone access are optional, and only used for the features you choose to use
